Phillip Samuel
While receiving my degree from the Academy of Art in Multimedia Communications, I have learned many skills which have prepared me for the world of Video Production. Specializing in editing and shooting, hosting and being the talent are also skills that I have acquired with hard work, dedication, and hundreds of hours behind a camera or computer screen.

121Box, Production Assistant (Perforce 2012 Road Trip Tour)


As Perforce's 2012 Road Trip Tour visited the Museum of Computer History to discuss it's
future as a company. Mike Axinn and 121Box were hired to produce multiple video's from
this conference.


Responsibilities: Production Crew, Mic Runner, Camera Assistant.



BAYMM (2012-Present)



In my final semester at the Academy of Art, I took a class where we produced a half hour
magazine show that aired on San Francisco public television. The show was an
entertainment piece in which students created their own content as well as running the
TriCaster in a 3 camera format. I produced my own 1:30 segment each week called Phresh
with Philly which showed comedic videos that went viral on the Internet in a stand up style.


Responsibilities: Camera man, Segment Producer, Show Host, Debate Specialist, and production
crew.


Academy of Art University, Student Assistant Coach (2011-Present)

After playing the previous 3 years at the Academy of Art University, my eligibility
ran up after the 2010-11 season. I was then offered to be the student assistant for
the team.


Responsibilities: Managerial duties (uniforms, paperwork, practice sets), Video
Coordinator, Bench Coach, Operations Assistant.



Legarza Basketball Camp, Team Coach/Gym Manager (2010-2011)

Taught at a basketball camp ranging from 1st to 8th grade.Legarza teaches hundreds of
kids daily the skills of basketball while still having fun. Legarza Basketball promotes 
team work, trust, and having run while being yourself.

Responsibilities: 1st Year (Coached my own team, set up drills, taught skills to kids.)


2nd Year (Gym Manager. In charge of coaches who had teams of
                    kids, did instruction of drills in front of hundreds of 
kids, and set up the schedule of the day for the camp.)


Academy of Art University Men’s Basketball, Team Captain (2008-2011)



In the inaugural year of the Academy of Art basketball team I earned a spot on the
team and was soon after named team captain. For the following 2 seasons I
remained team captain. Was leading scorer in the first 2 seasons of program history.


Responsibilities: Leadership, trust, mental and physical toughness, 
communication, sacrifice, among other captain duties.
